2024 HORRORFEST INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL REVEALS FIRST WAVE OF OFFICIAL SELECTIONS

THE HORROR CONTINUES FOR THE 22ND YEAR AS HORRORFEST INTERNATIONAL ANNOUNCES ITS FIRST 8 OFFICIAL SELECTIONS

ST GEORGE, UT - HorrorFest International Film Festival, presented by The Film and Media Alliance of Southern Utah, announces its first 8 film selections for the 22nd HorrorFest International Film Festival this October 16-19, 2024.

Festival passes are available for purchase online 24 hours a day at fmasu.com.

These films join a long list of previous festival selections that have included Hellbender, The Retaliators, Frank & Zed, Malibu Horror Story, Bunker, Feed Me, The Coffee Table, and Lore.

This initial lineup announcement includes audience award winners and crowd-pleasers that have played a handful of genre festivals, world premieres, and films premiering in the US and Utah for the first time.

“When HorrorFest first started back in the early 2000s, it was really about introducing a generation of horror kids to films they never got to see on the big screen,” said Adam Mast, Founder and Director of HorrorFest International. “Over the past 7 years, though, we’ve shifted and opened our arms to horror filmmakers from all over the world. So now what you get at HorrorFest is a little bit of the old and a lot of the new and we’re positively ecstatic about how the lineup is shaping up. These first 8 titles are just a mere taste of the horror goodness that awaits you this October.”

“Each year, we get hundreds of submissions that come in as we search for international flavors of horror,” added festival Co-Director John Pugh. “Submissions each year are more impressive than the last and these first films will hopefully give this year’s audiences an idea of the types of films they can expect at this year’s HorrorFest — a collection of terrifying, thought-provoking, thrilling, and sometimes hilarious films from some of the best in horror from around the world.”
