“SCRIPTS GONE WILD” ONE-OFF EVENT HOSTED BY FRANK DIETZ

Part of HorrorFest International’s Opening Night Celebration on Wednesday, October 19th!

For years, L.A. based writer/director/actor/artist Frank Dietz (“I Hate Kids,” Shudder’s “Creepshow” series, “Beast Wishes,” “Long Live the King,” “The Jitters,” “Zombie Nightmare,” “Black Roses, etc.) has been an integral part of Scripts Gone Wild. The goal of this nonprofit is pretty simple; To raise money for various causes by way of its very own brand of high-energy entertainment.

At each Scripts Gone Wild event, Mr. Dietz and his team of performers do a live script read. During that read, if any of the cast members flub a line, they must pay the price. Not literally, of course. It’s all in good fun, and in the end, it all makes for a wonderfully lively time.

On Wednesday, October 19th,  Frank we’ll do a special  Scripts Gone Wild one-off. He’ll be leaving the concrete jungle that is L.A. and make his way to beautiful Southern Utah where he’ll moderate and perform in a very special reading of “Creepshow” for the film’s monumental 40th anniversary. If you’re not familiar with “Creepshow,” you’re in for a real treat because this script–famously brought to the big screen by horror titans Stephen King and George A. Romero—is perfect for the Halloween season.

The reading will take place at 9 PM on Wednesday, October 19th as part of HorrorFest International’s opening night after-party celebrating at Station II (located at 142 N. Main Street, St. George, UT, 84770.)

This particular event will be free to attend but donations are encouraged as all money collected will go to the 501(C)(3) nonprofit, Film and Media Alliance of Southern Utah. Additionally, attendees are encouraged to purchase drinks (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) in a showing of support to a very gracious venue host, Station II.

This promises to be an incredibly fun night out whether you’re a drinker or not,  particularly for those with a fondness for the horror genre. This is to say nothing of the exceptional cast that will be on hand to take part in the read. Hopefully, these affable cast members all flub plenty of lines in the name of our grand entertainment.
