The Electric Film Series continues at the Electric Theater on Tuesday, April 19th, at 6 PM (Doors at 5:30 PM) with a screening of a 40’s gangster masterpiece starring the legendary James Cagney;

“White Heat” (1949)

“White Heat” follows Cody Jarrett (James Cagney in a blazing performance), a ruthless (and volatile) criminal with a “ma” complex as he attempts to run his gang of thieves from within the confines of prison. Join us for a screening of an iconic gangster film that Roger Ebert calls; “An artistic peak for its star James Cagney and its director Raoul Walsh.” This duo previously collaborated on “The Roaring Twenties” and “The Strawberry Blonde” but “White Heat” is probably the film for which they are most known. Come and see it on the big screen! 

FMASU’s screening of “White Heat” will include an intro and a post-screening discussion TBA.
