The fact that “Top Gun” finally got a sequel isn’t entirely surprising but the fact that it took over three decades to finally happen is a bit of a shock. Particularly given that the original film catapulted star, Tom Cruise, to superstar status. In the end, the wait was worth it because simply put, “Top Gun: Maverick” is one of the strongest sequels ever made.
