The Electric Film Series returns to the Electric Theater on Tuesday, March 19th at 6 PM (Doors at 5:30 PM) with a straight up Walt Disney Pictures masterpiece; “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” (1937)

Few animated features throughout history are as iconic as the one that started it all. Released in 1937, Walt Disney’s “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” tells the tale of a would-be princess whom seven dwarf miners take in after being banished to the forest by her wicked stepmother. To call the animation here breathtaking and ahead-of-it’s-time, would be a gross understatement. This really is a film that lives up to its legendary reputation so be sure to bring your entire family out to experience an animated masterwork that Roger Ebert called “the jewel in Disney’s crown.” Per usual, we at The Electric Film Series aren’t just about the movies themselves. We’re also all about film history and context and as such, with each of these screenings we have a very special guest on hand to introduce the title of the evening and to lead a post-screening discussion. For this magical screening of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” we have local community theater icon, Bruce Bennett slated onboard to talk all things Disney. Primarily known for being the CEO of St. George Musical Theater (a proud sponsor of The Electric Film Series), Mr. Bennett is also a bit of a Walt Disney historian so you can certainly bet he’ll be bringing plenty of insight. Be sure to arrive at our “Snow White” screening a little early and order an optional menu item from Riggatti’s to enjoy during the post-screening discussion or, you can feel free to take the pizza home with you following the movie.
