Celebrate the spooky season with a wickedly fun night of festive frights as the Electric Film Series presents Krampus, Michael Dougherty's modern holiday horror classic.
When a dysfunctional family's Christmas celebration goes horribly wrong, young Max accidentally summons the wrath of the legendary Krampus, a sinister figure from Alpine folklore who punishes those who have lost their holiday spirit. Trapped by a relentless winter storm, the family must come together to survive a night of terrifying creatures, dark humor, and supernatural chaos.
Equal parts horror, comedy, and Christmas tradition, Krampus has earned its place as a seasonal favorite thanks to its unforgettable practical creature effects, clever storytelling, and surprisingly heartfelt message about family.
Our special guest speaker, Nate Snow, a respected Film Program Professor at Utah Tech University, will introduce the film and lead what is sure to be an engaging and insightful post-screening discussion. Whether you're a longtime fan or discovering Krampus for the first time, be sure to stick around and bring plenty of questions.
Be sure to arrive early and order an optional menu item from Riggatti's to enjoy during the post-screening discussion, or take it home with you after the movie.
The Electric Film Series is free to the community, though donations are greatly appreciated. Every contribution helps support future screenings and keeps classic and iconic films playing on the big screen at the historic Electric Theater.
When reserving your seats, you'll see a "Name Your Own Price" option. Feel free to select $0, or make a donation if you're able.
