About the Event

FMASU's Electric Film Series presents its final movie of the year in the form of a joyous and magical 75th-anniversary screening of Frank Capra's holiday classic, "It's a Wonderful Life."

This showing is FREE and will take place on Saturday, December 18th as opposed to the normal Tuesday night time slot.

The screening will take place at The Electric Theater. Doors at 4:30 PM with the show starting at 5 PM.

Actor/writer/director Mike Caravella ("Astral Plane Drifter") will be on hand to intro the film. Caravella will also join a panel consisting of filmmaker/actor Colin Cunningham ("Falling Skies," "Centigrade") and film historians Jason Jackson and April VeVea for what is sure to be a very insightful post-screening discussion.

While the "It's a Wonderful Life" screening is FREE, it should be noted that this very special showing of a holiday classic closes out our "A Merry Movie Christmas" charity event. The day will begin at 12 PM with a collection of locally made holiday-inspired films, a visit from Santa Claus, and a special luncheon headlined by our guest of honor, The Figmentation Foundation. Again, "It's a Wonderful Life" is FREE to the community but donations are welcome.

Half of all proceeds and donations will go to the Figmentation Foundation-- A vital nonprofit dedicated to aiding children with various illnesses through the power of storytelling.

For those interested in "A Merry Movie Christmas," tickets are only $10 for adults and $5 for children 5 to 11.

We're also offering a $30 family pass (up to 5 family members.)
