GUERILLA SHORTS SHOWCASE: THE 2022 HALLOWEEN EDITION

On September 2nd, filmmakers of all ages and all skill sets were given the topic “Things That Scare You.” Additionally, these teams were required to select one topic out of a list of 5 (a jack-o-lantern, a cat, a scarecrow, a skull/skeleton, and or a spider.) Said teams were then given just over a month to put together 6 minute short films using any resources available to them.

On Saturday, October 15th at 2 PM at the historic Electric Theater, attendees will get to experience these films on the big screen while sitting alongside the wonderfully creative storytellers that put them together.

There will be cash prizes and awards presented to the 3 best films of the lot with the first-place winner receiving a festival premiere screening at HorrorFest International Film Festival running from Wednesday, October 19th thru Saturday, October 22nd. What’s more, attendees are encouraged to get in on the action and vote for their favorite as there will also be an audience choice award presented.

The Guerilla Filmmaking Challenge has been going strong since 2005. It’s educational, it inspires creatively, and it’s a ton of fun. At this very special showcase, you’ll experience that sense of fun, first hand. Bring your family and friends out in a showing of support for our wonderful filmmaking community.
