About the Event
THE GUERILLA SHORTS SHOWCASE: 2026 HALLOWEEN EDITION
In early September, 30 filmmaking teams comprised of all ages, and all skill sets in the state of Utah, registered for the 2026 Halloween Edition of the Guerilla Filmmaking Challenge. All teams were given the theme "Creature Feature," a list of props to choose from, and a limited amount of time to put together 6-minute short films using any resources available to them. At this very special Guerilla Showcase screening event, filmmakers and moviegoers alike will have a rare opportunity to experience these mini-cinematic creations on the big screen! Cash prizes and awards will be handed out to the strongest films of the evening and additionally, attendees can get in on the action and vote for their favorite short, as there will also be an Audience Choice Award handed out.
Support aspiring filmmaking talent by attending what promises to be an unforgettable night at the movies. This is also the perfect film-centric event to usher in Halloween.
