80s Throwback Mystery Screening | HorrorFest International 2026

THE 2026 HORRORFEST INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL PROUDLY PRESENTS THE 80S THROWBACK MYSTERY SCREENING WITH HOST, FRANK DIETZ

The 80s Throwback Mystery Movie has sort of become a thing of tradition at HorrorFest so for 2026, programmers decided "Why rock the boat?" What might the screening be this year? Per usual, attendees won't find out until the lights go down and that always makes for a fun time at the movies. Throwback screenings of the past have included "The Howling," "Night of the Creeps," "Prince of Darkness," "The Blob" (1988), "Monster Squad," and "Fright Night." Again, no real clues as to what the title will be this year only to say that given the festival is going the whole "hauntings are reel" route, it's safe to say that the movie of choice will probably play into that. It should also be noted that the screening will be hosted by writer/actor/director/animator/HorrorFest Ambassador, Frank Dietz. This fan favorite always brings the horror love and he's certainly another reason to attend what promises to be a fantastically entertaining screening.
