2023 FILMMAKER SPOTLIGHT

The Film and Media Alliance of Southern Utah (FMASU) is proud to present the return of the Filmmaker Spotlight at The Electric Theater on Tuesday, March 21st at 9 PM. The Spotlight is designed to highlight productions of various shapes and sizes that look to feature Southern Utah locales in their projects.

This upcoming event will shed a light on two exciting upcoming productions in particular;

The paranormal laugh-fest, “First Haunt” from writer/director Tanner McCowan and the sci-fi-tinged kung-fu stoner comedy, “Astral Plane Drifter” from writer/director Mike Caravella.

McCowan and Caravella–both gifted and affable storytellers in their own right– will be on hand with select members of their filmmaking teams to give insight in regard to their respective soon-to-lens feature-length films. In addition to a few surprises as well as an early look at the creative process, the evening will be all about generating excitement with these projects, expressing the importance of Southern Utah as a perfect area for film productions, and networking with other storytellers and individuals who might like to get involved in the making of these films in any capacity.
